About CircuitPi

CircuitPi is a browser-based GPIO and circuit simulator built for students, educators, and makers who want to learn embedded electronics without buying hardware first. Design a circuit, write Python against a familiar GPIO-style API, and watch the simulated breadboard respond in real time — all inside a normal web browser, with nothing to install.

It exists because access to hardware is the biggest barrier to learning embedded electronics: a classroom of thirty students can't all share one board, and a curious beginner shouldn't need to buy parts before finding out if they even enjoy this. CircuitPi removes that barrier — anyone can try circuits and GPIO programming for free, right away, and institutions can roll it out to an entire classroom at once.
